ISLAMABAD: On May 15th, we solemnly commemorate Nakba Day, marking the inception of the apartheid and occupying Zionist regime, bolstered by colonial conspiracies. This date signifies the onset of a dark era marked by genocide, massacre, displacement, occupation, and desecration of the holy land of Al-Quds by the Zionist regime. For 76 years, Palestinians have endured relentless occupation, flagrant human rights violations, and the denial of their right to self-determination.
The Zionist regime, in flagrant disregard for human values, norms, and international laws, has perpetrated egregious international crimes, including war crimes, genocide, and crimes against humanity. The Embassy condemns the brutal massacre of over thirty-five thousand innocent individuals, including defenceless children, men, and women, and the displacement of hundreds of thousands more in occupied Palestinian territories. We stand in solidarity with the victims and call for the perpetrators of these heinous crimes to be brought to justice.
Furthermore, we denounce the irresponsible actions of the United States, which have obstructed efforts for ceasefire and peace, as well as its recent opposition to recognizing the Palestinian state in the United Nations. Any form of support, whether legal, armed, or logistical, to the usurping Zionist regime is unacceptable and contrary to the will of the international community.
The Islamic Republic of Iran reiterates its steadfast support for the Palestinian cause and condemns the illegitimate Zionist regime. We stand with the Palestinian people in their struggle for liberation and advocate for Palestine’s full membership in the United Nations. We commend the unwavering support of the government and people of Pakistan for the Palestinian cause and reaffirm that Palestine remains the foremost issue of the Islamic world.
