ISLAMABAD: A man identified as Abdullah was arrested in Peshawar on Monday for repeatedly trespassing into the house of renowned Pashto singer Gul Panra.

According to reports, Abdullah had intruded into Gul Panra’s residence multiple times, prompting her family to take legal action against him. The singer’s brother, Saddam Hussain, filed a complaint against the stalker, leading to his arrest by the police.

This was not the first time Abdullah had trespassed into Panra’s house. Police said that he had been previously arrested twice for similar offenses but was released with warnings on the assurance of his brothers.

However, Abdullah allegedly attempted to enter the singer’s house again and threatened her family members when they intervened.

Following the incident, a first information report (FIR) was registered against Abdullah under Section 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation) and Section 452 (House-trespass after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Gul Panra, a prominent figure in the Pashto music industry, has garnered acclaim for her soulful performances. She has collaborated on notable tracks such as ‘Man AamedehAm’ in Coke Studio alongside Atif Aslam and ‘Larsha Pekhawar Ta’ with Ali Zafar.
