ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police have set up special checkpoints at various locations and major boulevards to ensure effective security in the capital city.
According to a police statement, effective measures are being taken to maintain law and order and improve security in the city, in accordance with the special directions of Dr Akbar Nasir Khan, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad.
Cooperation at Checkpoints
Government officials and citizens have been urged to carry their identification cards with them while travelling and to cooperate with police officers during the checking process. According to IGP Islamabad, maintaining law and order, as well as protecting citizens’ lives and property, are among the top priorities of the Islamabad Police. — APP
