They stressed the importance of maintaining the highest level of preparedness and top-quality combat training at all times.
The seminar, “Pakistan Air Force: Second to None,” organized by the Centre for Aerospace and Security Studies (CASS) Lahore, paid rich tributes to the enduring legacy of the PAF, rooted in the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah to be ‘Second to None.’
The speakers noted that the PAF’s mettle was tested during the 1965 and 1971 wars, resulting in significant victories and showcasing its professionalism. Group Captain Faisal ul Rehman, Director Operations and Admin at CASS, delivered introductory remarks, followed by a keynote address from Air Commodore (R) Kaiser Tufail, who highlighted the PAF’s achievements in the 1965 and 1971 wars. Air Commodore (R) Khalid Chishti then illuminated the remarkable accomplishments of PAF war heroes. Two distinguished war veterans, Air Commodore Abdul Basit (Retd) and Air Commodore (R) Farooq Haider, shared their personal experiences and stories from the 1965 and 1971 wars.
The seminar featured an extensive question-and-answer session following the guest speakers’ statements. In his concluding remarks, Air Marshal (R) Asim Suleiman, President of CASS Lahore, emphasized that an effective, vigilant, and potent air force requires focused training, state-of-the-art equipment and weapons, and a self-sufficient industrial base with indigenously developed technologies.
