Madrid: The Spanish women’s football team said Friday that they would not play until Football Federation head Luis Rubiales quits after he kissed Jenni Hermoso after the side won the World Cup against England.
The team players expressed these remarks in a press statement signed by 56 members of the squad, including all players from the mega event winning side. They said they would not play for the national team if the incumbent head continues.

In a statement, Hermoso said, “I felt defenseless and a victim of an attack and macho act and with no type of consent on my side. She added that she was not respected.
Hermoso added she felt like she had been attacked by Rubiales when the head of the federation forced a kiss on her.
Rubiales did the act during the trophy presentation at Australia after Spain’s 1-0 victory against England team.
Rubiales apologized for the actions but several politicians and NGOs in Spain strongly criticized him and demanded his resignation from the post.
FIFA also opened disciplinary actions against the President of the Football Federation for inappropriate behavior.
However, in an outrageous speech Friday, he refused to step down for his action while celebrating the World Cup win.
