ISLAMABAD: The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Pakistan will hold the 2024 K-Pop Festival on June 28 (tomorrow) in Islamabad, the capital city of the country.
According to the press release, the 2024 K-Pop World Festival’s Regional Preliminary Round will be held at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) in Islamabad, where submissions of the young K-Pop in the Regional Online Preliminary Round, will be overviewed.
The press release further read that the 2024 K-Pop World Festival is the world’s largest K-Pop festival and is co-hosted by the Republic of Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and KBS (Korean Public Service Media).
The festival aims to foster cross-cultural appreciation and promote the global phenomenon of K-Pop.
In July, Pakistani participants were invited to submit their video entries in the two categories- K-Pop Vocal and K-Pop Cover Dance- for the online preliminary round, followed by the live event.
Selected teams from each country’s regional preliminary round will earn the coveted opportunity to advance to the final round held in Changwon, Republic of Korea.
