South Korea’s Embassy Announces 2024 K-pop World Festival Regional Round in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Pakistan announced to hold the 2024 K-POP Festival at the end of this month in Islamabad, the capital city of the country.

According to the press release, the 2024 K-pop World Festival’s Regional Preliminary Round will be held on the 28th of June at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) in Islamabad.

The press release further read that the 2024 K-pop World Festival is the world’s largest K-pop festival and co-hosted by the Republic of Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and KBS (Korean Public Service Media).

The festival aims to foster cross-cultural appreciation and promote the global phenomenon of K-pop.

2024 K Pop Festival Showcases Pakistani Talent in Islamabad 1

Pakistani participants are invited to submit their video entries in the two categories- K-pop Vocal and K-pop Cover Dance- for the online preliminary round, followed by the live event.

Selected teams from each country’s regional preliminary round will earn the coveted opportunity to advance to the final round held in Changwon, Republic of Korea.

The participants were urged to bring their A-game to the stage. While Teuroteu or Gukak (Korean classical music) will not be reviewed, contestants are encouraged to showcase their passion and talent in K-pop performance. Applicants eager to make their mark in the K-pop universe can seize the opportunity by submitting their video entries, titled according to the specified format, through the provided link or the Embassy’s website.
