SEOUL: South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol will visit France and Vietnam next week to meet with leaders from both countries and discuss maters of mutual interest.
According to Arab News, Yoon’s deputy national security adviser, Kim Tae-Hyo, said that President Yoon will hold a summit with the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, during his trip to Paris between June 20 and 21.
He will attend a meeting of the Bureau of International Expositions (BIE), the organizer of the Expo 2030.
The visit aims to boost South Korea’s bid to host the expo.
The host country for the 2030 Expo is likely to be selected in November this year.
President Yoon will pay a state visit to Vietnam on June 22 at the invitation of his Vietnamese counterpart Vo Van Thuong.
Business delegation to accompany president
According to the news agency Yonhap, President Yoon will accompany a 205-strong business delegation on his state visit to Vietnam.
