South Africa Thrash New Zealand 12-11 to Win Rugby World Cup

PARIS: Handre Pollard kicked four penalties to assist South Africa to a nail-biting 12-11 win over New Zealand in the Rugby World Cup final on Saturday to claim a record 4th title.

As is so frequently the case with finals, the game proved to be a tight, tense encounter at a rain-soaked Stade de France where defence ruled and New Zealand lost Sam Cane to a first-half red card for a high tackle.
