KARACHI: Today, in Karachi, a solidarity march in support of Palestine is scheduled to coincide with the UN International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
Organized by the Palestine Solidarity Committee, the rally is a timely response to Israel’s ongoing illegal invasion of Gaza, resulting in the loss of over 15,000 lives and leaving more than 30,000 injured.
For the safety and facilitation of the march, a traffic plan has been announced. Commencing at 3:30 pm, the march will prompt the closure of the road from Shahrah-e-Quaideen to Tariq Road and Sindhi Muslim Cooperative Housing Society (SMCHS).
Additionally, Khalid bin Waleed Road and the route to PECHS Block 3 are scheduled for closure. As the march progresses, the pathway from Khudadad signal to Kashmir Road will also be inaccessible, according to the traffic police.
Once the march advances, all these routes will be reinstated, assured the police.
Last month, across various regions of Pakistan, thousands from diverse backgrounds united in street protests, demonstrating unwavering support for the Palestinian people against Israeli oppression.
