Solangi Expresses Sorrow Over Demise of Saraiki Novelist Aslam Rasulpuri

ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting, and Parliamentary Affairs, Murtaza Solangi, expressed profound sorrow and grief on Thursday over the passing of Aslam Rasulpuri, a prominent Saraiki novelist, researcher, critic, and intellectual.

In his condolence statement, Minister Solangi acknowledged the lasting literary contributions of the late Aslam Rasulpuri, emphasizing that his impact would be remembered for years to come.

Aslam Rasulpuri’s noteworthy work in editing the Siraiki poetry of Sindhi poets such as Sachal Sarmast, Bedil Sindhi, and Hamal Leghari was highlighted by Minister Solangi. Rasulpuri’s efforts brought to light the harmonious convergence of Sindhi and Siraiki traditions of Sufism, leaving a lasting imprint on the cultural landscape.

The minister expressed that Aslam Rasulpuri’s research achievements would be a perpetual source of remembrance and appreciation.
