So-called Security Heightened in Occupied Kashmir Ahead of Indian PM’s Trip

SRINAGAR: Local people are confronting with miseries due to the so-called security measures ahead of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the Occupied Kashmir. The so-called security measures have been beefed up ahead of visit by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), local and western media reported on Saturday. According to Kashmir Media Service, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to visit Jammu on February 20.

During his day-long trip, he plans to address a public rally at Maulana Azad Stadium in the heart of Jammu city. Strict security arrangements have been made around the rally venue, with thorough checks of all vehicles passing nearby and the establishment of special checkpoints along the banks of the River Tawi adjacent to the MA Stadium.

Furthermore, all sporting activities at the stadium have been temporarily suspended. Local people said it seems that they are living in curfew like situation and India security forces are teasing them on daily basis in the valley. —APP
