Six Terrorists Killed, Four Soldiers Martyred in Northwest Pakistan

RAWALPINDI: At least six terrorists were killed, and four soldiers embraced martyrdom in two separate gun attacks in Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa districts, a military statement said on Thursday.

The army’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said that “fierce encounters” took place between security forces and the terrorists on the night of October 18/19, 2023, in North and South Waziristan districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The first engagement occurred in the general area of Gharyoum, North Waziristan district. At least six terrorists, including a high-value target and terrorist ringleader Hazrat Zaman alias Khawarey Mullah, were sent to hell, read the ISPR statement. Khawarey Mullah was “actively involved in multiple terrorist activities in the area and was highly wanted” by the law enforcement agencies, said the ISPR.

However, during exchange of fire, three soldiers of Pak-Army that include Lance Naik Tabbasum UI Haq, 36, a resident of Rawalpindi, Sepoy Naeem Akhtar, 30, a resident of Attock district, and Sepoy Abdul Hameed, 23, a resident of Multan district, having fought gallantly, embraced shahadat.

In another intense fire exchange of with terrorists in the general area of Asman Manza, South Waziristan district, Sepoy Farman Ali, 25, a resident of Kashmore district, was martyred.

Sanitization was being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area.

“Security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve,” it said.

Two Terrorists killed in Two Separate Gun Battle in Northwest Pakistan

On October 17, the ISPR reported that at least two terrorists were killed in two separate gun attacks in Pakistan’s north western Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s districts on Monday, a military statement said.

Army’s media wing the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said two fierce encounters took place between troops and the terrorists in North and South Waziristan districts.

It said that the first engagement occurred in the area Asman Munza, South Waziristan District, where army troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location as a result of which one terrorist was killed, while another terrorist got injured.
