Six Killed as Corporate Jet Crashes Near Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES: In a devastating incident, all six individuals on board a small corporate jet lost their lives when the aircraft crashed and caught fire in a field near an airport outside Los Angeles on Saturday. Local and federal authorities confirmed the fatalities.

The ill-fated aircraft, a Cessna C550 business jet, was en route from Las Vegas when it crashed near French Valley Airport, located approximately 85 miles (136.79 km) south of Los Angeles, at around 4:15 a.m. (0815 GMT), according to a statement by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Identities of Long Angeles Jet Crash Victims

At present, details regarding the identities of the passengers have not been disclosed. Flight tracking data from the website FlightAware indicated that only one business jet was en route from Las Vegas to French Valley at the time of the incident. The aircraft made one circle near the field before descending.

Upon responding to the crash, officials from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, where French Valley Airport is situated, discovered the aircraft engulfed in flames in a field. Tragically, all six occupants were pronounced dead at the scene.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will initiate an investigation into the crash, as confirmed by the FAA.
