Sindh Ghost Teachers Dismissed

KARACHI: The Sindh Education Department has dismissed eight teachers over their absence from government schools for 2 years.

According to the officials, the said teachers were receiving salaries without coming to school. As per details, the Sindh Education Department took strict action against the teachers living abroad but receiving salaries. The department also issued a notification for the dismissal of the teachers.

Secretary Education has said that the teachers were not coming to school since two years. The secretary said that the concerned education officers identified ghost teachers adding teachers who will not come to school will go home straight.

Ghost teachers in Sindh

Earlier, the Sindh Education Department stopped the salaries of ghost teachers in the province. The Education Department wrote a letter to the Accountant General to stop the salaries of the ghost teachers. As per Education Secretary, there are still 464 ghost teachers in Qambar Shahdadkot, 190 in Jacobabad, 102 in Dadu, 182 in Benazirabad, 128 in Shikarpur, 89 in Nowshahrofiroz, 155 in Larkana and 28 in Sanghar.
