KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah chaired a pivotal meeting in Karachi aimed at addressing price control challenges ahead of Ramazan, announcing a substantial Rs22.5 billion package to alleviate financial burdens on the populace during the holy month.
The Ramazan package includes a provision for cash assistance, with 60% of Sindh’s population set to receive Rs5,000 each, benefiting approximately 4.5 million minimum wage families across the province. In addition to economic measures, the chief minister issued directives to guarantee uninterrupted electricity supply during Sehr and Iftar, acknowledging the significance of seamless access to utilities for residents observing fasts during Ramazan.
The comprehensive package and efforts to combat price gouging exemplify the government’s dedication to supporting the people of Sindh during the sacred month of Ramazan.
