LONDON: Sikhs residing in the UK have joined forces with Kashmiris to expose what they believe to be India’s deceptive tactics on the world stage by organizing the G20 summit in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

The group Sikhs For Justice (SFJ), known for its support of the Khalistan movement, has urged Kashmiri leaders to block the Srinagar airport in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) to draw attention to the situation during the summit.

Under India’s presidency, the third G20 tourism working group meeting is scheduled to take place in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir from May 22 to 24. In a video released by the SFJ, New York-based lawyer and SFJ Counsel General Gurpatwant Singh Pannun alleges that India is illegally occupying Jammu and Kashmir and warns the G20 nations that Indian security forces are planning to orchestrate violence in the region.

Pannun urges Kashmiris to block the Srinagar airport and expose the alleged atrocities committed against them, including killings and rapes.

In an effort to raise awareness, the SFJ has launched a dedicated email site for Kashmiris to send messages urging G20 ambassadors to boycott the Kashmir Summit and protect Kashmiri Pandits, as the SFJ claims that Indian forces are planning a terror attack and will falsely accuse Kashmiri freedom fighters and Pakistan of sponsoring terrorism.

India planning violence in IIOJK

The SFJ has also written a letter to the G20, expressing concerns about India’s alleged plan to perpetrate violence against the Kashmiri Pandit community during or following the summit and subsequently blame Pakistan for the incident.

They cite a historical example, the Chittisinghpora massacre in 2000, where 35 Sikhs were brutally killed, initially blamed on Pakistan but later revealed to have been orchestrated by the Indian Army.

Since the illegal annexation of Jammu and Kashmir by the Modi government in August 2019, repression of Kashmiri Muslims has intensified, and India is accused of attempting to divert attention from its crimes by orchestrating incidents and blaming Pakistan for supporting terrorism.

However, Pakistan maintains its position in support of the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination, as guaranteed by the UN Resolution.

The SFJ and Kashmiri supporters are calling for a boycott of the G20 summit in Kashmir to prevent potential violence against Kashmiri Pandits, which they allege is being orchestrated by India.

As tensions and concerns escalate in the region, the international community closely watches the developments surrounding the G20 summit in Occupied Kashmir and the ongoing dispute between India and Pakistan over the Kashmir issue.
