ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s President Dr Arif Alvi has said the Kartapur Corridor is a symbol of peace and Pakistan always welcomed Sikh Yatrees to visit their sacred sites, extending them all possible facilities, a press statement said on Friday.
During his visit to Kartarpur Corridor in Narowal, he said that Islamabad, through the corridor, had conveyed a message to the international community, expressing its desire for peace.
The President said such additional measures of inter-religion harmony would finally promote peace and stability in the region.
Sikh Yatrees Always Welcome in Pakistan: President Arif Alvi
On the occasion, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Project Management Unit briefed President Alvi on the steps taken to facilitate Sikh pilgrims in Kartarpur Sahib.Alvi was informed regarding the history of Kartarpur Sahib and the Sikh religion.
Later, he also visited various places in Kartarpur Sahib and lauded the arrangements for pilgrims. President Alvi also visited the museum and anchorage. __APP
