ISLAMABAD: The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) has convened the 10th meeting of its Executive Committee in Islamabad to review progress in various sectors.
The meeting was chaired by the Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives and attended by relevant federal and provincial ministers, federal secretaries, chief secretaries and high-level government officials.
The meeting also reviewed cross-sectoral matters by the provinces, including Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The relevant ministries presented progress reports on projects and policy initiatives in key areas under the purview of SIFC. The concerned ministries also presented a detailed action plan to implement future projects.
During the meeting, federal and provincial stakeholders expressed consensus on important cross-sectoral issues related to various initiatives in priority sectors.

It was also noted that provinces have played a key role in implementing various initiatives under SIFC, fully demonstrating the government’s approach to attracting investment in Pakistan.
The excessive committee also streamlined the decisions required from leadership through the apex forum.
