Shehbaz Sharif Vows to Expand Daanish Schools Network Across Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced plans to extend the Daanish Schools network beyond its current scope, aiming to establish new campuses in Balochistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Gilgit Baltistan, former FATA districts, and Islamabad.

This initiative was revealed during a meeting with Ayan Kashif, a standout student from Daanish School Mianwali, who secured first position in the matriculation examination conducted by BISE Lahore.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif personally congratulated Ayan Kashif at the Prime Minister’s House, praising his academic excellence despite facing financial challenges as an orphan. The Prime Minister congratulated Ayan, his mother, and the school principal for their dedication and highlighted the pivotal role such talented youth play in Pakistan’s future.

Ayan Kashif expressed gratitude towards the prime minister for the opportunities provided by Daanish Schools, which include comprehensive support such as dormitories, uniforms, meals, and educational materials, all provided free of cost. His mother also praised the school’s faculty for their professionalism and support.

Shehbaz Sharif explained the motivation behind establishing Daanish Schools, highlighting the disparity in educational opportunities for children from lower-income backgrounds compared to those from affluent families attending institutions like Aitcheson College. “Daanish Schools aim to bridge this gap,” he emphasized.

During the gathering, Prime Minister Shehbaz gave away Rs1 million cheque and a laptop to the student in recognition of his achievement. He also acknowledged Ayan’s suggestion to elevate the Daanish Schools to the university level, promising to discuss the proposal with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

The school principal echoed the prime minister’s vision, affirming that Daanish Schools are realizing the goal of providing quality education to underprivileged children in Pakistan. Shehbaz Sharif concluded by reaffirming the government’s commitment to fair education opportunities, ensuring that every child has access to quality schooling regardless of their financial background.
