ISLAMABAD: Skipper Shadab Khan jumps eight spots to fourth on the T20I all-rounder rankings issued by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday.

The all-rounder, who became the first Pakistani to complete a hundred T20 wickets in a recently concluded series against Afghanistan, also jumped 6 to 12th overall on the list for bowers. His teammate Mohammad Wasim shot up nine spots to 23rd in the same category.

Bangladesh’s star Shakibul Hasan is at the top of the rankings for the all-rounders, followed by India’s stylish player Hardik Pandya and Afghanistan’s veteran player Mohammad Nabi in second and third places.

Afghanistan’s first T20I series victory over Pakistan has helped its stars, with a pair of their bowlers making giant advancements in the latest ranking.

Afghanistan defeats Shadab Khan’s side

It was the first time Afghanistan defeated Pakistan in a T20I series, and star spinner Rashid Khan was the main beneficiary as he surpassed Sri Lankan Wanindu Hasaranga to become the high-ranking T20I bowler in the world once again.

Rashid first claimed top billing as the Number one ranking T20I bowler back in 2018, and the young player has been an ultra-consistent performer in the shortest format.
