Shab-e-Barat Tonight

SUKKUR: Tonight marks the commencement of the holy month of Shab-e-Barat, known as the night of fortune, across northern Sindh, where devout observances are underway with profound religious fervor.

Various mosques, including the Allah Wali Masjid in Sukkur, have organized programs such as Waiz (religious sermons) and dua-mahfils to commemorate this sacred occasion.

After Maghrib prayers, religious scholars will deliver sermons elucidating the significance of Shab-e-Barat at mosques across Sukkur, Khairpur, Shikarpur, Ghotki, Larkana, Jacobabad, and other districts of northern Sindh. Special munajat (supplications) will also be offered after Esha prayers.

Mayor Sukkur, Barrister Arslan Sheikh, extended his warm greetings on the auspicious occasion of Shab-e-Barat, emphasizing its significance in the Islamic calendar and its potential for spiritual elevation and divine forgiveness.

Reflecting on the essence of Islam as a religion of peace and welfare, Mayor Arslan Sheikh underscored the importance of embracing Islamic ideals for individual and collective well-being.

He called upon the affluent members of society to extend their support to the underprivileged and destitute, emphasizing the spirit of compassion and generosity that epitomizes Shab-e-Barat.

In his prayers, Mayor Arslan Sheikh invoked blessings, progress, and prosperity for all humanity, expressing faith in Allah’s benevolence and mercy to fulfill the heartfelt desires of believers on this sacred night.
