Seven Labourers Killed in Indian Explosion

ISLAMABAD: An explosion in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh claimed the lives of at least seven people from held Jammu and Kashmir.

According to the Kashmir Media Agency, the compressor in a cold storage unit exploded in the Daurala Meerut area of the state, killing the workers from the Jammu region of the IIOJK.

An Indian official told the media that at least 25 workers were on the site when the plant exploded. He claimed that while some were evacuated safely, seven of the deceased were from Jammu and Kashmir.

The deceased have been identified as Baldev, Balbir Singh, Balwant, Sat Pal, Ramesh, and  Lal Kalu, all residents of Hoshiywar Singh of Ramban and Udhampur.
