MULTAN: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Senator Rana Mahmoodul Hassan and Rana Iqbal Siraj from Multan have joined the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
Both leaders decided to join the party following their meeting with PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari here Friday. Another PML-N leader Rana Tahir Shabbir has also decided to join the PPP.
The development followed Shabbir’s meeting with the former foreign minister at Bilawal House in Multan. Shabbir has been awarded the party ticket from PP-222.

On Friday, different political parties announced their candidates for the national and provincial assembly seats. Among those were PTI and IPP.
With less than one month remaining in the polls, the political parties have accelerated their efforts to woo strong candidates. The polls for the national and four provincial assemblies would be held on Feb 8.
