RAWALPINDI: The security forces on Friday killed four terrorists in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the military said in a statement.
Army’s media wing, ISPR, in the statement said that security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan District on 8 March on reported presence of terrorists.
It said during the operation, intense exchange of fire took place between army troops and the terrorists, as a result of which four terrorists were sent to hell.
The ISPR said ammunition, weapons, and explosives were also recovered from the killed terrorists, who remained involved actively in numerous terrorist activities in the area.
It further said that sanitization operation is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area. Locals of the area lauded the operation and expressed their full support to eliminate the menace of terrorism.
