RAWALPINDI: Pakistani security forces have killed eight terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in South Waziristan district of northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, a military statement said on Sunday.
According to army’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), during the conduct of operation in Sararogha area intense fire exchange took place between own troops and terrorists as a result of which eight terrorists were sent to hell.
It said the killed terrorists remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces as well the innocent civilians. Security forces also recovered arms, ammunition and explosives were from killed terrorists.
The ISPR further stated that sanitization operation is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.
