RAWALPINDI: In separate Intelligence Based Operations conducted on Tuesday, security forces successfully neutralized four terrorists in the Bajaur and Khyber districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, according to a press release by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
In the first operation carried out in the general area of Inayat Qilla, Bajaur district, intense gunfire ensued between security forces and terrorists. As a result, three terrorists, including the notorious terrorist commander Shafi, were eliminated. The operation also led to the recovery of weapons and ammunition. The terrorists had been actively involved in carrying out terrorist activities against security forces and targeting innocent citizens, ISPR said.
Security Forces Operation in Khyber
Simultaneously, security forces conducted another Intelligence Based Operation in the general area of Tirah, Khyber district. Following a fierce exchange of fire, one terrorist was neutralized, and three others sustained injuries. Furthermore, security personnel recovered additional weapons and ammunition from the deceased terrorist. The area is currently being sanitized to ensure the complete elimination of any remaining terrorists, ISPR said.
The operations received praise and support from the local community, as the residents expressed their appreciation for the security forces’ efforts to eradicate the menace of terrorism. The determination of Pakistan’s security forces to eliminate terrorism remains steadfast, as they continue to conduct targeted operations based on intelligence.
The successful operations in Bajaur and Khyber districts reflect the unwavering commitment of the security forces to maintain peace and stability in the region.
