BANNU (Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa): Authorities in Bannu have taken proactive measures to address the law-and-order situation in the city by imposing Section 144 as anti-polio campaign continues in the district.
The restrictions, which will be in effect from Thursday (today) until December 3, aim to ensure a secure environment, particularly in light of the ongoing polio campaign.
The imposition of Section 144 entails specific prohibitions, including the display of weapons, pillion riding, and the use of tinted windows in vehicles.
This strategic move is a response to the imperative need for enhanced security during the polio vaccination campaign, reflecting the authorities’ commitment to safeguard public health initiatives. By restricting the display of weapons and other potentially disruptive activities, the administration seeks to create a conducive environment for the effective execution of the polio immunization drive.
