RIYADH: Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) Major General Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Mughidi on Thursday met with Director of the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) Dr. Mauro Miedico and discussed strengthening cooperation in the fight against terrorism, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The visit aimed to solidify the strategic collaboration between the IMCTC and UNOCT, uniting international efforts to fight terrorism and extremism.
The two sides discussed key issues pertaining to counter-terrorism and explored ways to boost cooperation between the two organizations in promoting global peace and security.
The visit coincided with a scientific symposium organized by the IMCTC on the theme “Future Prospective for Countering Terrorism through Digital Technologies.”
The symposium brought together researchers, scholars, and media professionals from IMCTC member states to discuss the latest technological developments in combating terrorism and the role of technology in enhancing global security.
