ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday fixed the hearing of the contempt of court petition against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan on Thursday, October 20, 2022.
The apex court issued notice to the Ministry of Interior, a petitioner against the case, a local TV reported.
A five-member larger bench headed by Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial will hear the case. Justice Ijazul Ahsan, Justice Muneeb Akhtar, Justice Yahya Afridi, and Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar Naqvi are also included in the bench.
In the petition, the interior ministry has put charges of arson during PTI’s long march on May 25. It has also accused khan of violating court orders during the long rally.
