JEDDAH: In a historic moment that signifies a new era in its long and storied history, Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAUDIA) proudly unveiled its stunning new visual identity today. The airline’s transformation is not merely cosmetic; it underscores a profound commitment to modernization and innovation.

The official presentation of SAUDIA’s new identity was a grand affair held at the airline’s headquarters, attended by an array of dignitaries, government officials, aviation experts, and media representatives. This significant event took place on September 30th, a date of great historical significance as it marks the anniversary of the late King Abdulaziz’s inaugural flight aboard a “Saudi Arabian” DC-3 aircraft from Afif to Taif.

SAUDIA’s new identity is a visual masterpiece, harmoniously blending colors that embody the essence of Saudi Arabia. Three distinct shades have been carefully chosen to symbolize various facets of the nation’s rich heritage and identity.

The Green color represents pride, honor, and the spirit of the national flag. It also signifies the generosity, culture, and legendary hospitality of Saudi Arabia, embodied by the iconic palm tree.

The Blue Symbolizing the Kingdom’s vast seas and endless skies, blue is a tribute to the boundless inspiration drawn from these natural wonders for future groundbreaking initiatives.

Ibrahim bin Abdulrahman Al-Omar, Director General of SAUDIA Group, emphasized the airline’s transformation from humble beginnings with a single aircraft to a fleet of over 140 planes. SAUDIA now connects regions within the Kingdom and serves more than 100 destinations across four continents.
