The meeting took place on the sidelines of the G-77 plus China Third South Summit 2024, which held in Kampala, the capital of Uganda.

El-Khereiji and Alzayani explored ways to further enhance the longstanding bilateral ties and collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain across multiple domains

The SPA reported that on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Eng. Waleed bin Abdulkarim El-Khereiji attended the third South Summit of the Group of 77 plus China (G77+China) at the leaders’ level in Kampala.

The vice foreign minister also called for creating the appropriate conditions to resume serious and effective negotiations for achieving peace based on the principle of a two-state solution, relevant international legitimacy resolutions, and the Arab Peace Initiative.

This, he said, ensures the Palestinian people’s right to establish their independent state along the 1967 borders with East Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital.

He stressed that Saudi Arabia is keen on the security and stability of all nations in the region, supporting everything that contributes to achieving this goal to deepen collective cooperation for development and prosperity.
