Saudi Tech Initiative Aims to Accelerate AI Adoption in Industrial and Logistics Sectors

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has launched the third phase of its Technology Adoption initiative, AdopTech, backing 15 projects that highlight the use of artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies across major industrial and logistics sites.

The initiative aims to create an innovation-friendly environment and accelerate the adoption of Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Sunday.

This phase is focused on empowering technology companies and entrepreneurs to develop innovative solutions addressing real-world operational challenges in key sectors.

Proof-of-concept projects will be implemented in partnership with selected industrial and logistics facilities, aiming to improve efficiency and strengthen the competitiveness of these sectors.

The initiative seeks to strengthen public-private partnerships in developing and deploying digital solutions, according to the SPA.

The initiative offers a dynamic setting for participants to test and refine their technologies in real-world environments, enhancing their readiness for broader implementation and market expansion.

The ministry has invited interested tech companies and entrepreneurs with relevant solutions to register via mcit.gov.sa/ar/eti.
