MAKKAH: The Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) in the Makkah Region has organised a training workshop on basic first aid skills for staff at the Grand Mosque, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday.
The workshop trained over 3,860 participants through a combination of theoretical lessons and practical sessions focused on managing common emergencies such as fainting, shortness of breath, bleeding, and minor injuries.
Trainees also received hands-on instruction in CPR and learned how to operate automated external defibrillators (AEDs).
SRCA ensured that the programme was delivered in both Arabic and Urdu, effectively communicating essential information to staff of various nationalities to enhance their readiness to respond to emergencies.
