RIYADH: The Saudi Red Crescent Authority is taking part in the 34th International Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent from October 28 to 31 in Geneva, where the International Committee of the Red Cross, the International Federation representing 191 national Red Cross and Crescent Societies, and signatory states to the Geneva Convention are meeting, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Tuesday.
The participation of the delegation, led by President of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority Dr. Jalal Al Owaisi, underlines the authority’s commitment to fostering international strategic alliances, highlighting Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian endeavors on a global platform, and exchanging insights with international humanitarian bodies and nations.
The conference is a pivotal global platform for enhancing cooperation within the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, addressing present and future humanitarian challenges, and making key decisions pertinent to the movement’s initiatives.
