Saudi Minister for Interior Attends Hajj Security Forces Parade

RIYADH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) Interior Minister and chief of the Supreme Hajj Committee, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud has attended the Hajj security troops readiness parade, Arab media reported on Wednesday.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Director of Public Security Gen. Mohammed Al-Bassami said the troops are performing their duties in Makkah and Madinah. He added that the security forces have also been deployed in all routes leading to the premises of Hajj as per a comprehensive security and traffic plan amid cooperation from the army, public, and private sectors.

The director said that the authorities harnessed all capabilities to serve the Hajj pilgrims, ensure their security, and safety, and utilize modern technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and smart apps for their convenience.

The Hajj security forces demonstrated their readiness through a number of security scenarios that reflected their level of proficiency and high skills.
