KUALA LUMPUR: The Defense Military Committee, established by the Saudi-Malaysian Coordination Council, held its first meeting in Kuala Lumpur to enhance cooperation, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
Ministry of Defense Undersecretary for Strategic Affairs Major General Salman Al-Harbi and Malaysian Ministry of Defense Deputy Secretary-General for Policy Mohd Yani bin Daud chaired the meeting.
During the meeting, held at the Malaysian Ministry of Defense, discussions covered bilateral relations and cooperation between the defense ministries of the two countries. The meeting focused on ways to boost relations in the defense field to serve mutual interests, and other issues of concern.
Al-Harbi also held a meeting with Malaysian Ministry of Defense Secretary-General Datuk Seri Hisham bin Ishak, and discussed bilateral ties and ways to strengthen defense cooperation and coordination.
He also visited the Saudi Military Attaché office in Kuala Lumpur and Brunei, where he reviewed its roles, tasks and ongoing activities.
