RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Monday offered condolences to Pakistan over the devastating floods in the country’s north that have left hundreds dead and injured.
In a cable to President Asif Ali Zardari, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, extended his deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to President Zardari, the families of the victims, and the people of Pakistan.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques prayed that Allah Almighty would bestow His mercy and forgiveness upon the deceased, grant patience and solace to their families, bless the injured with a swift recovery, ensure the safe return of the missing, and protect Pakistan and its people from all harm.

Meanwhile, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, also sent a cable of condolences to President Asif Ali Zardari over the victims of the floods that struck the north of the country, resulting in deaths, injuries, and missing persons.
In the cable, the Crown Prince expressed his deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the President Asif Ali Zardari, the families of the deceased, and the people of Pakistan, praying to Allah Almighty to bestow mercy upon the victims, grant the injured a speedy recovery, and ensure the safe return of the missing.
Torrential monsoon rains and flash floods have devastated Pakistan, killing 657 people since late June, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) said on Monday.
The northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has been hit the hardest, with 325 deaths reported amid flash floods, landslides, and house collapses.
