ISLAMABAD: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has distributed 6,635 winter kits to vulnerable families in Pakistan as part of ongoing humanitarian efforts to ease the impact of severe winter conditions, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The winter kits, containing essential cold-weather items, were delivered in selected areas identified as facing heightened vulnerability due to low temperatures and limited access to basic resources. The initiative is part of KSrelief’s seasonal assistance programmes implemented in coordination with local partners.
The Saudi Press Agency reported that the distribution reflects the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s continued commitment to humanitarian relief and support for communities affected by climatic hardship. KSrelief officials said the programme aims to provide immediate relief to families struggling to cope with winter-related challenges.
Saudi humanitarian assistance in Pakistan spans multiple sectors, including food security, health, shelter and emergency relief. Help from the Kingdom has expanded in recent years in response to natural disasters and economic pressures affecting low-income households.
The winter aid campaign is one of several initiatives underway as part of KSrelief’s international relief operations, which target vulnerable populations across Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
