RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Chief of Staff, Gen. Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, participated in the concluding ceremony of a readiness drill for Saudi Joint Forces, Arab media reported on Friday. The aim of the two weeks long drill was to enhance operational planning and combat efficiency.
This exercise enabled the Joint Forces to attain their initial operational capability in line with the operational framework established by the Ministry of Defense. Over the course of two weeks, the joint staff of the armed forces engaged in the drill at the Joint Forces headquarters and the Diriyah Joint Operations Center.
The scenarios presented during the exercise encompassed various aspects such as aerial operations, counter-air operations, coordinated maneuvers, naval counter-warfare operations, electronic warfare, and information operations.
Saudi Joint Forces Drill for Combat Efficiency
Commenting on the drill, Al-Ruwaili emphasized its purpose to achieve a professional and collaborative military force committed to upholding the nation’s security and interests. The drill effectively enabled the Joint Forces to meet their planned objectives, ensuring preparedness in deploying troops and mitigating potential threats.
Al-Ruwaili inspected the drill’s operational cells and subsequently took commemorative photographs with the participants.
Maj. Gen. Hamed bin Rafea Al-Omari, the Director of the Joint Chiefs of the Armed Forces, along with several high-ranking officers, attended the closing ceremony.
