RIYADH: Saudi Arabia Minister for Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Japan’s Foreign Minister Hayashi Yoshimasa have discussed bilateral ties, cooperation, and crisis in Sudan, Arab media reported on Monday.
Saudi, Japan Foreign Ministers discuss crisis in Sudan
The two top diplomats discussed matters of mutual interest during a telephonic conversation. They also reviewed aspects of cooperation between the two countries and ways to enhance ties between Riyadh and Tokyo.
The two ministers also discussed efforts exercised to stop the escalation in Sudan, end the current violence in the African country, provide necessary security to Sudanese civilians, and calm the tensions in different parts of the country.
Meanwhile, Lebanon’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Abdallah Bou Habib thanked the leadership of Saudi Arabia for evacuating Lebanese nationals from Sudan and receiving them in Jeddah ahead of their return to Lebanon.
