RIYADH: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan has received a phone call from his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Arab media reported on Saturday.
The two top diplomats discussed matters of mutual interest, including the recently agreed China-brokered deal during the talks. Both ministers also discussed a number of issues and also shared views over the next steps related to the recent deal between the two countries.
Saudi-Iran talks
The telephonic engagement was the latest in a series of calls between the two top diplomats since talks hosted by Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing in April this year. During the interacion, they agreed to restore diplomatic relations between the two nations. Saudi Arabia and Iran spent four days in dialogue in Beijing between March 6 and March 10.
