ARAFAT, Saudi Arabia: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Interior and Supreme Hajj Committee Chairman Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz has reviewed the readiness of participating agencies to receive pilgrims at Arafat during this year’s Hajj, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Day of Arafah
The SPA reported that during his inspection visit, the minister met with several chairmen of the boards of domestic and international Hajj service companies, emphasising the importance of coordination between the companies and security agencies to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims.
He stressed strict adherence to the scheduled movement times to Arafat and the stoning rituals in accordance with approved plans, while avoiding any exposure of pilgrims to heat stress risks, the SPA reported.
Inspects camps
Additionally, he inspected several camps that have been prepared and upgraded to receive pilgrims on the Day of Arafah and was briefed on the key services enhanced for this year’s Hajj.
