JOHANNESBURG: Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan met on Thursday with his Indonesian counterpart Retno Marsudi on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in the South African capital, Johannesburg.
During the meeting, the pair discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and means of fortifying relations in various fields to achieve shared goals.
Furthermore, both sides addressed approaches to enhance both bilateral and multilateral collaboration on matters of shared interest at regional and global levels. Additionally, they expressed their commitment to supporting efforts aimed at elevating international peace and security.
During the summit in Johannesburg this week, the bloc disclosed its extension and extended invitation to Argentina, Egypt, Iran, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates to join as new members.
