Saudi Hajj Minister Umrah Kicks off Türkiye Official Visit

JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, kicked off an official visit to the Republic of Türkiye for awareness creation among Turkish pilgrims about the procedures to facilitate their arrival in Makkah and Madinah.

The visit also aimed to describe the various services offered to visitors and pilgrims within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During the two-day visit, Dr. Al-Rabiah was accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising government and private-sector representatives.

They had scheduled meetings with Turkish officials and leaders to discuss the support and facilities extended to Turkish pilgrims. This initiative was taken in accordance with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which focuses on enabling more worshippers to visit the Two Holy Mosques and perform Umrah while upholding the principles of Islamic Sharia.

The visit was a part of the Ministry’s broader efforts to promote communication and collaboration with countries from which pilgrims originate. It also served to introduce the exceptional services and support provided by the Saudi Arabian government to pilgrims and visitors, reflecting the Kingdom’s commitment to the well-being and comfort of those undertaking their religious journeys. —SPA/APP
