ISLAMABAD: Saudi Minister for Hajj Dr. Taufeeq Bin Fawzan Al-Rabiya along with a high-level delegation has arrived in Islamabad on a four-day official visit, local media reported on Sunday.

Dr. Taufeeq Bin Fawzan Al-Rabiya was warmly welcomed by interim Minister for Religious Affairs Aneeq Ahmad and Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf Saeed Almalki at the airport.

Saudi Minister for Hajj will hold a meeting with Pakistan’s President, Caretaker Prime Minister and the Army Chief during his stay in Pakistan, Radio Pakistan reported.

The Saudi minister and other officials will discuss with Pakistani authorities several issues related to the facilities being provided to Pakistani pilgrims and Road to Mecca project.

Earlier, Arab News reported that the aim of the visit is to facilitate visitors’ journeys to the Two Holy Mosques. He will also discuss means with the authorities in Pakistan to explore pioneering steps in the development of Umrah systems.
