ISLAMABAD: At the LEAP 2023 technology conference, being held in Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh, the country’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has unveils its latest services for pilgrims.
The tech conference has been co-organized by the of communications and information technology minister with the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programing, and Drones (SFCPD).
The Riyadh Front Exhibition and Conference Center is the venue of the four-day event, will conclude on Thursday.

New measures for boosting pilgrims experiences introduced
As per the Hajj and Umrah Ministry’s statement, in order to ensure pilgrims to experience a spiritually fulfilling, secure and safe visit to Makkah and Madinah a number of initiated have been introduced.
Numerous digital solutions are being displayed at the ministry’s pavilion, all of which can be acessed through a screen that is interactive.
Recently, the ministry tweaked its directives and unveiled new measures that allow people with any type of visa to perform Umrah.
The restrictions regarding age and the requirement for female pilgrims to be accompanied by a male guardian have also been removed.
The Foreign Ministry of the Kingdom, around 10 days ago launched an e-service that would permit passengers stopping over in the country to apply for entry visas.
With this visa, the visitors will be able to perform Umrah along with make a trip to the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah as well as tour the country.
As per a statement by the Saudi Hajj and Umrah Ministry, the validity of the Umrah visa has been increased from 30 days to 90 days.
