Saudi Government Extends Term of $3bln Deposit to Pakistan

KARACHI: The government of Saudi Arabia on Friday extended the term for a 3 billion US dollars deposited with Pakistan’s central bank through the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) to support the South Asian country’s economy.

According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) the SFD has extended the deposit provided by Saudi Arabia to the country’s central bank. 

Saudi Government Extend Terms of Deposit

The SBP added that the extension of the continuation of the support given by the government of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan.

It may be recalled that the 3 billion US dollars deposit agreement was inked in November 2021 through the SFD with the central bank of Pakistan.
