NEOM: The torch for the 3rd edition of the Saudi Games 2024 has arrived in NEOM, as part of its promotional trip for the largest national sports event in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). The mega event will be held in Riyadh from October 3 to October 17, the SPA reported.

Amid great enthusiasm and a celebratory atmosphere, the torch traveled via the historical spot of Bajdah in NEOM. NEOM Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rayan Fayez has received the Saudi Games torch from footballer Salman Al-Faraj, former Saudi national team and Al Hilal player, and current NEOM team member, the SPA added. Al-Faraj has won the Saudi League 8 times, the King’s Cup 5 times, the Saudi Super Cup 3 times, and the AFC Champions League twice. He represented the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) in the 2018 and 2022 World Cups.
The torch was then carried by the Saudi national padel player Omar Al-Thaqib, champion of the Saudi Games in 2022 and 2023. The Saudi Games torch started its journey in Riyadh, traveling via various regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to embody the spirit of the Saudi Games, based on the values of friendship and peace. The torch also carries a deep humanitarian message of peace, love and optimism, encouraging nationals and residents of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to participate in this major sporting event.
