RIYADH: The Saudi-French Parliamentary Friendship Committee of the Shoura Council convened with a delegation led by Amelia Lakrafi, Chairperson of the counterpart committee in the French parliament, in Riyadh.
Chaired by Ayman bin Saleh Fadhel, the Saudi committee chair, the meeting aimed to explore avenues to strengthen collaboration between the Shoura Council and the French parliament across various domains.
The discussions underscored the imperative to reinforce cooperation, emphasizing the pivotal role of parliamentary friendship committees in both nations. The participants delved into potential joint projects, reflecting the commitment to facilitating and fortifying collaborative initiatives. Amelia Lakrafi’s meeting with Mishaal Al-Sulami, the Vice Speaker of the Shoura Council, highlighted the significance of the Riyadh-Paris relationship, particularly within the parliamentary sphere. Lakrafi expressed gratitude for the warm welcome during her visit, acknowledging the enduring ties between the two countries.
